New Scouts

Do you know a boy who would like to become a Cub Scout? If so please tell his parents about Orientation Night at Buckeye Woods and J.C. Sommer Elementary Schools. It is Thursday, September 24 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm. First grade boys and up are welcome!

2015 Fall Campout at Chief Logan

The Fall Campout is coming up on October 2 - 4, 2015 at Chief Logan State Park, which is located outside of Chillicothe, in Ray Ohio.  We’ll have lots of fun with archery, bb guns, a campfire and much, much more. Even if you can't stay the whole time, please join us when you can.

Arts in the Alley Parade

Come join the pack and march with us in the Grove City Arts in the Alley Parade on Saturday, September 19. We are going to meet on Southwest Blvd. at 8:30 AM.  Please note the parade start time is now 9:00 am rather than 9:30 am as previously posted.

The parade will begin at 9:00 am at the corner of Broadway and Southwest Blvd, heading south on Broadway, east on Cleveland Ave, south on Dudley Ave, west on Columbus St, south on Wilbur St and east on Park St, ending at Park St Intermediate School. 

The parade will go on rain-or-shine even with the construction at Broadway and Columbus St.

Wear your uniform and help show off that SCOUT SPIRIT that our Pack has.

September 2015 Pack Meeting - Reptiles/Popcorn Kickoff

Our September Pack meeting on Thursday, September 17th is going to be a great night learning all about reptiles, both local and exotic. We have a local reptile specialist providing a great hour of entertainment! We will also be kicking off our single yearly fundraiser – POPCORN!!!

The Pack Spring Campout is coming up on April 24-26, 2015. This year’s campout is going to be at Tar Hollow State Park. We’ll have lots of fun with archery, bb guns, and other activities. More information will be coming out soon.

Religious Emblem Classes

"A Scout is reverent." All Scouts show this by being faithful in their duty to God. We encourage our scouts to learn about God and participate in the religious emblem program. The "GOD AND ME" class is for Tiger, Wolf and Bear Scouts and the "GOD AND FAMILY" class is for Webelos Scouts. If your son is interested in taking one of the Religious Emblem classes this spring, please use this link to sign-up for more information. We will contact you with more information about the class and the schedule.

Adopt-A-Street Trash Cleanup

This is just a friendly reminder that your den will have street pick up during the above assigned month. We have adopted the street Southwest Blvd. We start picking up trash at the intersection with Broadway (corner at Jolly Pirate Donuts) to the stop sign at Richard Ave. We pick up both sides of the street and the DQ parking lot. Please pick up any large trash you see in the field. Please email me with the number of Scouts & adults who participated. I also need the total number of trash bags picked up along with the amount of time it took to complete. You can throw the trash bags in the dumpster at DQ or at the church.

Please contact DQ management prior to your Den’s clean up date to confirm free Dilly bars for the Scouts upon completion. Dairy Queen’s phone number is 871-0006. Ask for a manager when you call and explain you are with Pack 136 and let them know what date you have planned.

The March Pack Meeting is going to be held on Thursday, March 19 at 7PM at First Presbyterian Church.  This month we are having a Science Night at the Pack Meeting. We’ll have lots of neat experiments and fun activities to enjoy.    See you all there.
